Peterborough Photographic Society

The Peterborough Photographic Society thanks you for your interest!

We are currently updating our website and apologize if any links are not functioning.

The Society was formed in 1982 by a group of amateur photographers interested in developing their photographic skills with an opportunity to enjoy the fellowship and support of people with similar interests. These objectives continue to guide the club. Our members have diverse backgrounds varying from beginner to professional, use a variety of equipment and are happy to share their expertise with other members. Photographic interests include wildlife, family, street scenes, architecture, vehicles, water, sunsets, contemporary, nature, landscapes and much more.

Meetings are normally held at The Lion’s Club (347 Burnham St., Peterborough). However, during Covid 19 we are holding all events online through Zoom. We foresee online meetings continuing through December 2021. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month from September through June. Our online meetings open for socializing at 6:30 pm, start at 7:00 pm and end by 9:30 pm.

Our newsletter, The Viewfinder, is published once a month and is posted to this site about one week before the next meeting. The Viewfinder includes the latest news regarding meetings, outings and other activities, as well as various articles of interest to the members and anyone else with an interest in photography.

Guests are invited to attend one meeting at no cost, after which you are welcome to join the PPS. To become a guest at an upcoming meeting, or for any other questions, please contact Linda at
