Peterborough Photographic Society

The Peterborough Photographic Society thanks you for your interest!

The Society was formed in 1982 by a group of amateur photographers interested in developing their photographic skills with an opportunity to enjoy the fellowship and support of people with similar interests. These objectives continue to guide the club. Our members have diverse backgrounds varying from beginner to professional, use a variety of equipment and are happy to share their expertise with other members. Photographic interests include wildlife, family, street scenes, architecture, nature, landscapes and much more.

PPS meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month from September through June. We usually meet at The Lion’s Club (347 Burnham St., Peterborough), however, during COVID-19, we are holding all meetings online through Zoom. We foresee all online meetings continuing through June, 2022, the end of our current season.

Our newsletter, The Viewfinder, is published once a month and is posted to this website about one week before the monthly meeting. The Viewfinder includes all current information regarding meetings, outings and other activities, as well as various articles of interest to our members and anyone else with an interest in photography.

The online meetings open for socializing at 6:30 pm, start at 7:00 pm, and end by 9:30 pm. Guests are invited to attend one meeting free, after which they are welcome to join the PPS. To become a guest at an upcoming meeting, or for any questions, please contact Linda at
